Maximum impact in a compact London garden

What the client wanted

A low-maintenance pool for daily exercise and family leisure that would become the focal point of the garden.

The finished result

A one-of-a-kind pool for daily swimming, in a space many would have thought too small.

The decisions behind the result

something different.

The challenge

Craning the pool required planning with an adjacent school for safe access, permits and precision lifting — and a very tight plant room.

The people behind the pools

A pool is a big decision.
You should know who’s building it.

Mermaid has been family-run since 1981. Today Steven and James lead the business, carrying forward the experience built across three generations. The value of that experience is not simply the number of years. It is knowing who is responsible for your project.
